In their search for answers, the kids uncover many extraordinary mysteries
Scenario
In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government activities. Steve Perry, former lead singer of Journey, said that the remix of Journey’s 80s hit “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” in the fourth season of Stranger Things did almost what he originally wanted to do in the 80s, but lacked the technology. Perry was so impressed that he even helped create the remix. In many episodes, people “interrupt”; someone is talking on a two-way radio or CB – that is, one person is talking/transmitting, and the other person is transmitting to interrupt them, and the other person hears the interruption and stops transmitting.
Eleven: Friends Don’t Lie
This has been done several times via CB radios for kids and radios used by the police. Those radios – the CBs and police radios from that era on the show – don’t work that way. If you’re transmitting and someone else is transmitting, you can’t hear that person. Stranger Things opening titles and fonts mimic the brightness and look of the opening credits of the 80s TV series.

reality is far from it
It’s a pretty intense drama, completely immersive, the kind of show you can’t watch without thinking. As someone who grew up in the 70s I can appreciate every little detail that went into the production. It looks like it was filmed live. The whole thing is incredibly well done.
Quality in both season 1 and 2
I absolutely love the music, it’s so fitting it takes me back to the great shows of the 80s. I like the focus and tension that is high in season 1. It’s like The Goonies meets The Quatermass Experiment… Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are science fiction.
