Scenario
It follows Madeline Matlock as she joins the workforce of a prestigious law firm, where she uses her cunning tactics to win cases and expose wrongdoing. starring Andy Griffith in the lead role of criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock.
This would verify identity, address, current license status, disciplinary actions, etc
For legal reasons they had to give Dean Hargrove a “based on the Matlock series” movie credit.. In order to be hired by a New York law firm, Matlock would have had to verify her law license status through one of three official mechanisms, each of which is carefully managed by the state.
Remake of Matlock (1986)
I’m not sure what the detractors saw, but I just watched the “preview” of the pilot. and loved it.

Maybe my age (78) is one of the reasons I liked it so much, just as I really liked the original “Matlock”; starring Andy Griffith. “Maddy Matlock” is a very interesting character: an old lady, a former practicing lawyer (over 25 years ago) whose late husband cheated on her leaving her with a lot of debt, who is raising her grumpy grandson as her daughter died of drug addiction.
I can’t wait for the season to start in October
She is desperate for a job and has an amazing way of getting past security at a very high-powered law firm.
